Free Breakfast and Free Lunch for All Penns Manor Students for 2024-25

We are happy to announce that the Penns Manor Area School District has been approved for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year to begin its participation in the Child Nutrition program, Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

The school district’s approval as a CEP school district allows for all students regardless of free/reduced lunch or family income status to receive 1 (one) free approved breakfast and 1 (one) free approved lunch daily.

What does CEP mean for our families within the Penns Manor Area School District?

CEP approval means that all families of students within the Penns Manor Area School District have been released of the financial burden of paying for a daily breakfast and/or lunch as all students are now eligible to receive a free approved breakfast and free approved lunch each day of the 2024-2025 school year.

The CEP program limits each student to 1 (one) free “approved” breakfast and lunch daily.  It is important to note that students choosing to purchase a la carte items and/or additional breakfasts and lunches beyond that provided by the CEP program are still financially responsible for payment for any food purchased beyond that provided through the CEP program.

Please be aware that existing negative student cafeteria balances must still be settled with the school district.  They are not resolved by the school district’s participation in the CEP program.
